“Blue Peter” – the world’s longest running children’s TV show – turned 60 in October 2018, and I was commissioned by the BBC to make the set for their anniversary photoshoot: entirely out of paper-craft!
Working together with photographer Joe Giacomet and producer Sam Ratcliffe, I produced dozens of bespoke made props, party decorations and oversized paper pieces to dress the paper set-design of their 60th anniversary shoot. We made sure to include as many Blue Peter reference as possible, like Tracey Island, Shelly the Tortoise, a Red Arrow, the Blue Peter Dog, the Time Capsule and of course their mantra: “Here’s one we made earlier”.
The 60th anniversary episode will be broadcasted on Saturday the 16th of October 2018.
